This baton sparks at the tip of the baton AND on the handle guard making an awesome display or power. It also gives you reach while still allowing use up close.

When the safety switch in in the "off" position the trigger button activates the flashlight. When ther baton is switched to "on" the flashlight is deactivated and the trigger will control the spark.

Needs improvement

Recieved this on 2/3/11 A few things that should have nbeen more thought out on this product. 1. The belt clip is somewhat flimsy, not very strong. 2. Holster very snug on baton. So when you have it clipped on your belt and try to draw the baton, the clip doesnt stey on belt or pants. I had to twist and tug very hard to slide baton from holster. (I will continue to twist it in the holster to loosen the inital grop, hopefully that will help but with it being rubber not getting the result I want. 3. because of my hand size, large but not Ginormous, when I have my hand all the way in it makes it nearly impossible to push the \"fire\" button. The only way to get a good position on the button is to slightly adjust it to put the tip of my right index finger on the button and that loosens the four finger grip down to a three finger grip and it doesnt feel as natural or secure. They should have moved the fire button (made it larger as well) around towards the inside of the device so when you have all four fingers gripping the handle it would have felt more comfortable and easier to use. Not sure how much time went into development but those to me are very important factors.
